Netmar User's Guide: Control Panel
Back

Netmar uses the Usermin control panel for customer access to a variety of functions. The control panel is accessed over a secure interface (128 bit SSL), so there's no need to worry about sending your password over the internet.
To log in to our control panel, point your browser at:
https://homer.netmar.com:51221
Note some things about this URL: the URL starts with httpS - secure http. This "S" must be included in order for the page to be displayed. Also, at the end of the URL, note the "colon - 51221" ( :51221). This is the port number of the connection. It is an additional security measure.

When you log into the site, you will see the page on the right, or one similar to it depending on your browser (this is from I.E. 6.0 in Windows XP). You should log in with your username and password.

Once you log in, you will see a series of functions across the tabs at the top. These will let you do a variety of things with your account. For example, in order to set up an aliasmap file, you may click on the mail section and then click on the aliasmap icon. To upload files, click on the "others" tab and then the file manager icon, as shown.
Please note the the file manager will take a while to load, regardless of your connection speed. It takes a while to load on the local network. It is a java applet, with quite a bit of client side computation. Add to that the fact that it is being transfered over a secure (SSL) interface which adds a lot of overhead - please be patient.
This is the file manager screen. It allows you to upload or edit files, change permissions, examine files, and a variety of other functions. To upload files, click the upload button as indicated at the left.

When you click to upload a file, you will be shown the screen at the right. Simply click on the browse command to find the file you wish to upload on your computer and click Upload. Make sure the directory to which you want your file uploaded is selected.
