This guide is for Netmar customers
and their dedicated servers, but many things in the guide will be of
use to other people as well. Please use and reference the guide as much
as you want, but be aware that no guarantee is made to the fitness of
it, and that it's just a reference, it's not a comprehensive education.
This guide will cover Solaris 7 and RedHat 7.3 mainly, but again, many
of the concepts are of use on other systems.
In order to get the most out of this, you will have to have a basic
working knowledge of Unix/Linux already. We will assume that anyone
using this guide can already move about between directories and edit
files in a *nix environment, either with pico or (preferably) vi.
